"That lion from Narnia!"

I posted last week about the first five True Blood minisodes, briefly analyzing the themes I felt they invoked and also writing a bit about where I felt the story was going. (This included spoilers from Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Mysteries series.)
Now, I've finally watched the final installment:
"Jason"
This scene immediately follows Jason shooting Eggs and killing him stone dead. It's incredibly recursive, dense with flashbacks of the first two seasons, as memories of Jason's past mistakes and experiences boil through his mind. Jason, as Jason is so good at doing, freaks out incoherently. In the closing moments of the minsode, we see two eyes regarding him from the underbrush.
Now, I know that it's a werepanther and that that werepanther must be Crystal Norris. However, in book terms, she doesn't show up until Dead to the World (the fourth book) and she recurs until Dead and Gone (the ninth).
The fact that they're bringing Crystal Norris in this season shores up my belief that they're getting into some major condensing in Harris' storyline. True Blood is certainly its own animal, and its continuity is not Harris' continuity. Yet Alan Ball does seem to be sticking to the major plot points, so.
Based on my knowledge of the books and what I've gleaned from the trailers and minisodes, here are my predictions for this season:
Bill's image is going to be tarnished something fierce.
Sookie will discover that Bill was sent by the Queen to... befriend her.
We may discover that Bill delayed saving Sookie from the Rats to ensure she'd need his blood (and thus be forcibly attracted to him).
We'll certainly discover that Bill truly believes himself in love with Sookie, regardless of the above.
Eric & co. are going to be discovered as dealers of V by the Magister, which leads to Pam being tortured.
This may also lead to Eric being put in an incredibly vulnerable position by the end of the season (potentially involving forced amnesia).
Sophie-Anne is going to be deposed for her V-pushing and whatever else she's been up to.
Her deposition will possibly involve exploding in a rather disgusting way.
Sookie will kill Lorena.
Sookie will kill Debbie Pelt. (On second thought, this'll happen in S4.)
Sookie will discover some real feelings for Eric and subsequently be torn over how much is real and how much is his blood in her.
Eric will continue to be humanized in the wake of his Maker's suicide as he reevaluates his (un)life and continues discovering the depth of his feelings for Sookie.
Sookie's faerie blood will out, and the inclusion of faeries may be the coming thing for S4. (Along with the inclusion of witches.)
For those of you who've read the books, you'll see that I predict the incredible compression and rearranging of several storylines. I think they're doing this for two major reasons:
1. True Blood is not going to end up going on for ten years. I can see five or six, but not ten.
2. They want to bring out Eric/Sookie as a viable relationship much sooner than the books did.
A couple major components to Sookie's and Eric's relationship is, of course, the blood bond between them and also the vampiric political instability of Louisiana. Hence the actual bond becomes "oh, all 'live' vampire blood makes you attracted to the vampire" and the hostile take-over by Nevada becomes "shit, Sophie-Anne's been dealing V, bring me her head."
Okay, that's enough noodling around for the night. Have I mentioned that I love my cracktastic vampire soap opera?
